One of the tools that has become very popular across most editing tools is the Curves tool for brightness and luminance color corrections. And its no wonder because this tool gives users a way to precisely control the brightness in the various color tone regions - highlights, midtones, and shadows. In the process of controling for brightness - contrast changes are inevitably made because of the relative color shifts. Watch this demo and see the basics of Curves used for color corrections

As we shall see in the next exrcise, color corrections are not always this easy - and in fact is one of the toughest along with image sharpening areas of photo editing to do co well consistently.
