Demo - Printing Photos and Images

Motivation: A quick view at how to print images
Software: Jasc PaintShop Pro 8

Like correcting color and sharpening an image, everbody thinks printing an image is easy as pie. Well in may be 50% of cases it s as easy as we show here in this demo. But be warned - printing photos to exacting color requirements (think skin tones in portraits, or solid tones in an advertsing image) can quickly become quite complex. The whole problem is the color gamut shown on screen may not much the color gamut (range of colors printable) of the printer. But lest set aside these concerns and watch demo:

Jacqu Not all programs have an advanced photo preview facility like PaintShop Pro. But generally, the Print dialog does have control over orientation, postioning, and sizing of the image to be printed. Likewise just about every printer supplies a printer function that allows basic control over orientation again, print quality, paper type, and some basic brightness and/or color hue controls. So quickly a task that should be easy can become quite complex. Hence the popularity of classic film printers or online services that take your images and print the classic 6x4 print for anywhere from 15 to 45 cents per print.
